Advanced Techniques & Professional Tools
Ready to learn the true secrets of professional massage therapists? We will teach you how to utilize all parts of your body to apply pressure, including hands, elbows, knees, shins, and feet.
We will also be playing with some pretty serious massage tools to make the work easier on you while going very, very deep. You will learn to use:
Hot Stones
Silicone Cupping
Bamboo Sticks
And potentially a power tool or two!

Three Important Things To Know
1. Alumni & Professionals Only This workshop focuses entirely on deep work—really deep work! Because of this, it is open only to Alumni of our standard Couple’s Massage Workshop (private or public) or Licensed Massage Therapists.
2. Designed for “The Giver” This class is designed for one partner to do all the work and learning, as many couples have only one partner who truly craves deep tissue work. However, if you both want to learn and perform the work, that works too!
3. Active Participation Required We teach the safest, least strenuous ways to perform these techniques, but this is a fairly active class. You will be working on the floor, getting up on the table, and bending your knees and hips. Please contact us before registering if you have mobility concerns.

The instruction Joe gave throughout the evening was thorough, easy-to-follow, and fun. Joe not only gives excellent massages, he is the perfect person to run a couples workshop. He makes the evening so fun. My husband was hesitant to go to the workshop. He thought there would be a lot of uncomfortable moments, which there were none. In fact we came away very impressed with how Joe made everyone feel comfortable and how we all learned how to give a decent massage without becoming fatigued. My husband now is willing and able to give me a massage…not as good as Joe’s but at least my hubby’s is free.
